- Oct. 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Impressions Appearance Shop at the AnMed Health Cancer Center will feature Angela Martin, author of "How to Ruin Your Ex-Husband's Life, One Day at a Time" with part of the proceeds of book sales going to CAA.
- Oct. 24, 11 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Cocktails for the Cure, Andrew's Private Club. Fund-raiser for CAA featuring Nuvo pink vodka. Drink responsibly at Andrew's.
- Oct. 25: Concert of Hope and Remembrance, 7 p.m., Concord Baptist Church. Our biggest fund-raiser of the year! Don't miss it!
- Nov. 8: Rhemedy for Cancer Tennis Carnival and second running of the Smiling Slugs Stroll, 1-4 p.m. Brookstone Meadows. Registration is $20 by Nov. 1 and $25 afterward and on the day of the carnival. For information about the Tennis Carnival, contact sophie@brookstonemeadows.com or 202-1917.
- Nov. 8: The Smiling Slugs Stroll is a race for slow people (really!) and will include Slug Limbo, Electric City Slug Slide and other fun events in conjunction with the Tennis Carnival. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for kids 18 and under. Register by calling CAA at 222-3500, or through our donations page.
