Daring Divas and Dashing Dudes
The Daring Divas and Dashing Dudes are a marathon/half-marathon team of volunteer runners and walkers who raise money for the Cancer Association of Anderson. Team members pay all their own expenses for the marathon, and all funds raised will stay in Anderson County to help patients with treatment-related expenses such as prescription medicine and gas to get to the doctor. The 2008 Daring Divas and Dashing Dudes, shown above, competed in the Tybee Island Marathon, near Savannah, Ga., in February. They raised more than $20,000! We are accepting names of people interested in walking or running a half marathon at Folly Beach, SC on Feb. 7, 2009. Scott Shuey, pictured above left in the yellow shirt, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in September. Please pray for our Dashing Dude Scott as he fights his personal cancer battle!
