Saturday Knitters at CAA

Pictured above is Saturday Knitter Pat Greenlaw, presenting a prayer shawl she made to CAA patient Ralph Smith.

Do you love to knit or crochet, or want to learn how? Join the Saturday Knitters at CAA, each Saturday at 10 a.m. in the front sitting room at our office. Bring a knitting or crochet project to work on (or if you don't know how, we'll teach you with needles and yarn on hand.) Most knitters work on prayer shawls to give to our patients or items for the  Yarn Bazaar, held each year from Thanksgiving to Christmas to raise money for CAA.
After knitting, we go to lunch. (We've got to keep up our strength, right?)
For directions on making a prayer shawl, go to
Christmas Yarn Bazaar: The Cancer Association of Anderson's  yarn mavens have been busy knitting and crocheting all year. Throughout November and December, we'll have hand-made scarves, hats, baby items and other handmade goodies on sale at our office. We also have a selection of cashmere sweaters "rescued" from local thrift stores, men's and women's sizes and many colors, for $15 to $30.
