Special Events for Cancer Association of Anderson
CAA Birthday Party: The Cancer Association of Anderson is celebrating its 9th Birthday this year!! Come by our office on Monday, March 12 between 10 a.m. and noon to celebrate with us as we mark our organization's 9th birthday. We will start things off by unveiling the new members of our giving societies, Verandah, Dogwood and Fans of the CAA, followed by punch and cakes, provided by our Board of Directors. As always we appreciate birthday gifts, and we are asking this year for the following items. We are especially in need of monetary donations and first class letter postage stamps.

Dancing for Our Heroes: 10th Judicial District Solicitor Chrissy Adams is the Cancer Association of Anderson's contestant this year in Dancing for Our Heroes. This event, sponsored by the Greater Anderson Rotary Club, is based on the popular television show Dancing with the Stars, except each of the eight contestants represents a local charity. Mrs. Adams, who has served as solicitor since 2005, is also an eight-year cancer survivor. If you would like to help her win People's Choice - and raise money for the Cancer Association of Anderson, too - send a check with "Chrissy" on the memo line to us at 215 E. Calhoun St., Anderson, SC 29621. You can also donate through the website on our "Donations" tab. Dancing for Our Heroes will be held Friday, April 13 at the Civic Center of Anderson.
