Our Support Groups
The Cancer Association of Anderson hosts several support groups for cancer patients. Our patient newsletter goes out monthly listing meeting times and programs, as well as other news of interest to cancer survivors. Email Kristin@cancerassociationanderson.org or call us to be added to our list.
1 in 8 Breast Cancer Support Group. Meets second Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
See the 1 in 8 Pink Christmas Tree at the Williamston Town Hall throughout the month of December.
Sexy Broads Support Group for women with cancers "below the waist" including reproductive, colon, urological, etc. Meets second Wednesdays at 2 p.m. (Broads are shown below with the Teal Ladies and Blue Men display that heightened awareness of female reproductive and male prostate cancers.)
In addition to these groups for women, AnMed Health hosts support groups for men with prostate cancer (third Mondays at 6:30 p.m.) and for patients with any cancer diagnosis (every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.), at the AnMed Health Cancer Center, 2000 E. Greenville Street. (That's Twala, at right below, with members of the Man to Man Prostate Cancer Group amid the Teal Ladies and Blue Men display at our office.)
